I've been busy doing projects for my new house... picture frames & cloth napkins :) I now have loootssss of cloth napkins! I decided I wanted to use those instead of paper towels since I don't want to pay for garbage service... lazy right?!
Photobucket Photobucket Last night I went for drinks with Cassandra & Mackenzie. Cassandra is leaving on September 1st for a year long road trip with her boyfriend in a trailer called "the dolphin". I am so jealous of her. I will post a link to her blog, because I am sure it will be amazing.
I've been going thru my closet and finding lots of funny stuff...... so.... let's take a moment to appreciate my orange high school hair- yikes.

Yesterday was Aireanne's wedding!! Mackenzie, Lauren, & I all drove together- Cassandra was going to come with us as well, but her car got stolen :( How sad is that? But even with that downer we were determined to have a great time and managed to get to the wedding with out anyone killing each other.

The venue was gorgeous, and it was a perfect, beautiful sunny day for a wedding! It had been cloudy in the morning, but luckily that had cleared out and by the time of the ceremony- 3:30- the weather could not have been more perfect.
As we headed in I spotted Aireanne in the little bridal room (which was also super cute!) and was able to give her a hug and wish her luck! She looked so beautiful -and skinny! Even in white! :)

Photobucket The ceremony was in one area, and the reception was just a short walk next to it, which was awesome.

The ceremony was so beautiful and sweet. I love that Aireanne switched the traditional sides where the people stand to show off her hair flower (that was my idea, actually! haha!) The kids were really cute, too. The flower girls just plopped on the ground and played with their baskets the whole time, which I thought was really adorable.

The reception was really awesome and we all had a great time dancing and talking... it was a great, relaxed beautiful wedding! So much fun! Congratulations, Aireanne & Greg! I am so happy for you both :) ♥

Mackenzie & I went to sushi today. Nothing says good sushi like a conveyer belt...on the bright side, no wait (& the sushi isn't that bad, either). Then we went over to buy a wedding present for our friend Aireanne who is getting married tomorrow. Mackenzie had a minor fight with the Bed Bath & Beyond guy, but we ended up with a great little box of gifts.
Photobucket
The worst part is the wedding cards. Nothing to depress someone who is NOT getting married like cards that are so mushy you could vomit. We completely deserved a treat when shopping was over.

After going with Erin yesterday, I was 100% determined to go back back today to pick some for myself (Erin couldn't come, she was working at ESY). But first, I got my hair cut with my BFF, Mackenzie, by our school friend, Ashley. It was nice because with out dye, I have a straight up gray streak in my hair.

After getting out hair done & going to a sushi lunch, I headed off to pick berries! My friend Keri and her daughter decided to come with us, too, which was really fun :)

Taryn is scared of any loud noise so whenever a large car/plane would go by she would drop all her berries and run to the nearest person, which was pretty adorable.
She's also way too smart because after a little bit she realized that instead of picking the berries, she could just pick them out of other peoples bowls. Smart girl! :)
Photobucket
Photobucket Photobucket We ended up getting 16 pounds of raspberries and 4 pounds of blueberries for $20, which I was THRILLED about. Keri took about 5 pounds of raspberries and Mom & I made two batches of freezer jam, froze some berries and are working on eating the rest!
Photobucket Oh and my day naturally ended at the Doug Fir, then food carts.  :)

My friend Erin told me awhile ago about these mythical places in Corbett where you can get you-pick berries for ONE DOLLAR a POUND, and when she mentioned it again as we talked/walked with her last night I insisted that she invite me the next time she went, which happened to be today. After doing some wedding stuff with Aireanne (signs for the tables) we were off to pick berries! Sadly, it somehow did not occur to me that you-pick would be cash only but we picked lots of berries for Erin and I got the inside scoop on the good, cheap places to go (that I never would have found myself) so it was totally worth it.

Plus Baby B was ADORABLE, as usual. He was even cute when he ate too many berries and projectile vomited all over himself (no pictures but trust me, it happened!).

After berries, I met up with people at Edgefields (my home away from home!) which was fun! We even got crowns for my & Mackenzie's birthday & Airenne's bachelorette party. Nothing crazy since we were all in bed by 12, but it was still fun... plus we got to wear crowns, any excuse for that is a great night as far as I am concerned. Plus cajun tots rock my world.
Photobucket
Aireanne actually ended up getting sick (not drunk sick, no one drank that much) but like real sick...however that's what happens at bachelorette parties, right? She is just getting the full wedding experience (don't worry she made a full recovery, her wedding in Saturday & she's ready to go!).

I actually worked this morning for the first time all summer. It was only for 4 and a half hours at ESY, and had kind of a bumpy start...but it was pretty fun overall and I even got to make goop which was pretty cool.
I saw this "Celebrity alphabet" book and I LOVED it! I would totally make this & use it in my classroom. Great idea :)
Photobucket
After work I went to the fabric store with my Mom & her friend ....annnddd her friends little dog, Jewels. Is this the most adorable dog ever? I think so. Fabric Depot is insane it's the most amazing fabric store ever. I think we spent two hours there.
Photobucket
They literally have EVERTHING. :) haha I got fabric to make throw pillow covers, not of the half naked skiier man, though!
Photobucket
Of course the highlight of my Dad was seeing Baby B! His dinosaur hat ....I can NOT even handle how cute he is. Oh, and they put in a new post at the front of our neighborhood and Mom & I were laughing about how tall it is! So, there is that, too :)

Today was one of those days where it's busy all day at yet at the end of the day it's like "what did I even get done, I feel that I accomplished nothing!" I mean, I did get new lamps for my bedroom (adorable!) and some other house stuff, but that's pretty much all I personally accomplished. I am constantly amazed that I am much busier then I ever was during the school year when I actually worked. It's crazy.
Photobucket
Mom & I walked to subway & then frozen yogurt for dinner...yummm...summer in Oregon is amazing. We were watching this little bird hop around for so long, it was so cute! Dad went to Seattle today, it was sad going to frozen yogurt with out him, he loves it as much as I do!!.... I guess we will just have to go when he gets back :)

Sunday July 22nd

Photobucket Lauren & I continued our Sunday brunch tradition, however we went back to our FAVORITE hipster Portland brunch place, Irving Street Kitchen, because it was SO GOOD for brunch today. This fried chicken, mashed potato egg thing may not look great but my mouth is watering! Can't rave enough :) Anyway, we all had a good time & even did a little shopping after at this store called Cargo down the street.
After brunch & shopping I finished moving all the big furniture pieces up to my new house today. Thank god for Aireanne who has gone up with me THREE times to help unpack big furniture. While planning her wedding (next weekend). Crazyyyy times. Here are some pictures. There is still a lot to do, thankfully though, at least all the big things are done! Now I just need to go thru my boxes from Boston (5 pie plates...why?) & organize. & then, you know actually move in & stuff. I will need to buy a car first though.
Here is my coffee table before I painted it. It was a really gorgeous wood, but honestly it's like a dog crawled up on it or something (first I thought children but how could children leave deep gouges in hard wood? Unless someone let their kids play with knives/super unsafe toys I don't see how that could be possible!), I had to sand it a lot to make the top flat again. Anyway. Here is was before. It looks 100x better in these pictures then it really did, actually.
Photobucket
And I have been doing a lot of spray painting and then painting my night stands both of which were blonde wood. Cute, but I wanted them white/gray and luckily I found the color I wanted in my parents garage :) which was exciting.

Tiny bedroom #1, which will soon have a real mattress, but has an air mattress now just to see what size fit

There is a kitchen and bathroom as well, but they're unexciting :) Clearly there is still a lot to do, but this is certainly progress!

Aireanne and I took a load of furniture to my new house & stopped on the way back to get cherries :) 'tis the season.
We even set up my bed (minus pillows obviously, but I did get pillows later)!!! Bed donated by my wonderful brother ---actually I am taking pretty much all of his bedroom furniture, thanks Josh! :)

It was my best friend's Mom's (Donna) birthday so we went to celebrate! It was a nice fun little picnic & all her sisters were in town so it was nice to see everyone again :)
Photobucket
Putting birthday hats on turtles is totally normal, right? :) After all, even turtles want to party!! The little kids loved playing with them, I am less of a fan I don't know why. I guess I like my pets cuddly :) Also someone had some old (very safe, not loaded I think it's fake) gun, which naturally meant Mackenzie & I had to pose for pictures like we are the front of a trashy romance novel.
Photobucket
Photobucket Last night Mackenzie, Aireanne and I went to Stevenson to take one more load of furniture and set up my bookshelf. I think it's totally normal to color code a bookshelf, the only problem was I think the bookshelf was a littttlleee too small. Luckily for me, I had bought those cute book ends ($7, they were ugly so I spray painted them) so I made it work... crisis averted!
Then we went to the one bar in town that was still open... & when I got a free drink with Pendleton whiskey I thought.... I might like this town after all :)
