Prague

There were other things in Prague to see (it's not ALL Prague Castle) and since we were there for five days, we managed to do a few other things as well. We went to the Museum of Communism, which was really interesting and provides an interesting perspective on what it was like to live under communism. (Pretty much what I took away was that it would suck.)
We walked across the Charles Bridge, built in the mid-1300's, and every time I was obsessed with it
view off the side of the bridge
Some of the all the statues on it- there are thirty, to be exact. Most of them are statues of saints, most of who were killed by being thrown out of windows (apparently a popular way to kill people).
We also went to the Old Town Square, (it's called that because it was the first town surrounded by a wall -the "New Town" was surrounded by a wall in 1350) and saw the Astrological Clock.  The clock was installed in 1410 and is the oldest astrological clock still working. Rumor has it after the clockmaker built it the town council ordered that he be blinded so he could never build another. The clock was originally attached to the city hall, but the building was pretty badly damaged after World War 2, and never rebuilt.

And, as the final cherry on top of the sundae that was Prague....a waffle on a stick... what's NOT to love about Prague?!
